Pre-Admissions Programs

Truman is boasts a formalized agreement with The University of Missouri medical school and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM) housed within A.T. Still University (ATSU).  These pre-admissions programs reserve seats for our students and allow them to focus on learning and achievement without the worry of taking the MCAT or applying for consideration into a medical program through the normal (and expensive) application process.  Typically, students will be considered at the end of their Freshman (Bryant Scholar) or Sophomore (Still Scholar) year.

Bryant Scholars program through The MU Medical School.

In conjunction with the MU Area Health Education Center (MU-AHEC), the School of Medicine has implemented a program to encourage young people from rural areas to pursue a medical education. Studies have shown that students from rural backgrounds are substantially more likely to practice in rural areas than students from urban backgrounds. For economic and geographic reasons, these students often prefer to attend state universities and other colleges in their region. The Bryant Scholars Pre-admission Program allows students to receive their undergraduate degrees in their region while preparing for medical school at MU.
