AT Still (KCOM) Mentoring Program

Dear Truman State Pre-Medical Students,

         My name is Alyssa Johansen and I am a second year student at KCOM.  As a member of Sigma Sigma Phi, a service fraternity at KCOM, I would like to offer you access to a mentoring program for students who are thinking of applying to medical school, in the midst of the application process, or who have already been accepted.

         We as medical students understand the frustrations and questions that come along with applying to medical school and we would like to offer you the opportunity to have your questions answered by students who have recently experienced the process.

         If you are interested in meeting up with a first or second year medical student to talk about anything relating to school or the application process email me at ajohansen@atsu.edu and I will set you up with a KCOM student. The KCOM student will then send you an email and you can together decide where and when you would like to meet up (i.e. go for coffee, meet in the student union etc.).  

         I understand that some of you may have specific requests as to the type of student you would like to meet up with (i.e. first vs. second year student, or student right out of undergrad vs. a student who took time off). Please fill out and e-mail the attached questionnaire so that I can match you up with a student who best fits your request.

         I hope you are all excited about this great opportunity we have to offer you. We all look forward to meeting up with you and easing your worries and fears about medical school.
